New kitchen!

I'm so excited, I've been searching for a kitchen set for Claire and Cady online and at yard sales for the past month, and I stumbled across this cute one on my way home from the doctor today (I've got a sinus infection, no fun whatsoever). We picked it up for a great price and the girls adore it! :) It's everything I was hoping it would be. Oh, and one cute thing, notice all of the food on the ground next to the kitchen, Claire went and emptied out my cabinets to use our food in her kitchen while I was grabbing the camera. Needless to say, we made a run to Walmart today for her to get her own food to play with. :) Here's to much more fun indoors, and hopefully less requests to leave our house and go to the park. Wish me luck!

Our new house

Hi there! Here are some overdue pictures of our house. We've got almost everything set up how I like it, just missing a few details like rugs and empty walls and empty picture frames...other than that we love the place! Hope you enjoy...after all, we expect all of our friends and family to come out and visit us some time in the next 6 years!! :)

Pretty Flowers

This is Cady enjoying the flowers in our back yard. I'm sad to say that we wont be having any more cute pictures like these though. Not long after these pictures were taken, Claire and Cady decided it would be fun to forge their own trail right through the middle of the flower bed. I took the scissors to the few remnants this morning. Sigh. Maybe next year we'll have blooms again.

Family Fun

Well, we're trying to branch out and find fun things to do around here and we discovered a free zoo about 20 minutes away. The zoo was really neat, it was full of animals that are native to MN. We saw wolves, bears, badgers, buffalo, deer, porcupines, prairie dogs, and then some. We went with another family that has a girl exactly Claire's age. I'm hoping they'll buddy up so Claire will forget about how she misses her old friends in Portland. As you can see, they are off to a good start by holding hands. :)
