So, I forgot to put up some pictures of the fruit of my father's labor. :) The first is our fabulous swing set, complete with kids enjoying it. The second is of my little garden corner, the big square garden bed in the middle was already there, we added the box going along the fence. This will be my first attempt at gardening, and even if worst comes to worst, at least my boxes look nice! :D

Before you start gardening, I'd talk to someone who gardens in that area a lot. We had an enrichment on gardening while I was in Wisconsin. The instructor had just finished explaining to add mulch after the planting when I asked how often you water the garden. I got a few bewildered looks. Then, imagine my shock when the lady (from a nursery who had gardened for eons) said "Uhh...you don't, well unless it gets extremely hot for several days in a row." I'd never heard of a garden growing without watering it.
That looks like so much fun! I bet your girls are loving every second of it! How very kind of your dad to come out and build that for your girls! I see many hours of not having to entertain your girls this summer :-) I am trying a garden for the first time too! Wish me luck.
Thats so nice of your Dad to put up the swing set. I am sure your girls will play on it all summer long. Have fun!
I love your yard and your garden spots look fabulous. I have already given up on gardening, from last years experience, and have moved onto planting really pretty flowers instead. This year I am trying delphiniums in my garden area.
